We Are Responsible to Share in Church Work?

We all anticipated it, we planned for it, we thought carefully and we booked it....Yes,Sunday 6th December is here and we all seem to be forgeting that we are on the rota to fundrase for the Church Construction is nt it?

It baffles for us to struggle to construct such a multi-Milion shillings and magnificent Friends Center Satellite Church while it is very clear in the Bible that we must give what belongs to God for his work to continue, without any hutsle. Allow me to first of all thank all those who have contributed their coin towards this norble course. But still the question that continues to linger in my head is, where are we? are we realy sure of what we are doing? Absolutely, We are sure that we are erecting a modern Center on this hilly and chilling place of Riruta Satellite.

It is evident that the train has already began its journey and the destination is already known. The focus is itill on despite already witnessed and still to be witnessed challenges. We must press on towards this goal as God encourages us that all is well with him and him a lone. And yes, we will continue to think beyond the 6th December so that we realise this dream.

We should want to give so we can support the work the church does. Philippians 4:14-18 - The church at Philippi gave to support Paul. This constituted "fellowship" (sharing) in his work of preaching. Likewise today local churches need money so teachers can teach in assemblies and classes, gospel meetings, radio and TV, literature, etc. (See also 1 Tim. 3:15; Acts 11:22-26; 1 Cor. 14; 1 Thess. 1:8; 1 Cor. 9:6-14; 2 Cor. 11:8,9.)

Acts 4:32-35 - Local churches also cared for needy members - they shared their possessions. (See also 1 Cor. 16:1-4; 2 Cor. 8,9; Acts 11:27-30.)

To the extent we are able, we should share in the church's work. Many denominations raise money by bingo, bake sales, rummages, raffles, etc. These methods are unauthorized, so the Lord's church never uses them. If members fulfill their responsibility to share, the church can do its work without such methods. But let us remember that the more we can give, the more the church can accomplish.

FRIENDS CHURCH(QUAKERS) SATELLITE is here to stay.....

Are you fulfilling your responsibility to share in the church's work??

Building Our Church

The first thing we need to realize is that Jesus never said, nor does God ever say anywhere in the Bible, that people are incapable of building a church. No. People are quite capable of building a church. In fact, we are capable of building a big church, all in the name of Christ, and supposedly to His glory. We can do this thinking we are doing it FOR Jesus. This has been going on for two thousand years, and God has rarely done anything to stop it. He just tells us the Truth about these things and then lets us make our choices.

Has it ever occurred to any of us that if we build a church for Jesus, instead of letting Him build His church, that we are sinning? I know that must sound radical to many people. But think about it. If Jesus said, "I will build My church," and we stray outside of that, how are we without guilt?

There is a reason why Jesus has not told us to build His church for Him. That reason is that if we try, in the end, it will be something that is created in our image, and not His. Look around you and read history. Christian people have been building Jesus’ church for Him for centuries. Has the church ever really looked like Jesus? No. It has looked, operated, and acted like the people building it FOR Jesus.

Do you and I actually think we have the right to do ANYTHING for God, hand it to Him, and obligate Him to bless us? Indeed, if there is one error that God continually warns us against, both in teaching and in example, it is the error of trying to do for Him what He only can do. God is not simply giving us a suggestion. He is telling us HIS WILL.

Let us rise up and build a modern Center for our God, that is the only way our blessings will befall us. King bless you as you put this to action in Jesus name!

FOCUS NOW SHIFTS TO THE 6TH DECEMBER HARAMBEE

Posted on Comments comments (0)

How prepared are you?

It is very interesting to see people of all walks prepare for the forth coming harambee for the construction of the Modern Satellite Friends Center.Having started plans early in March, the Church steering commitee led by Bro. Victor Kisia has admitted that God is indeed working through his people to ensure that enough funds are marshalled for the purpose of erecting this highly antcipated Friends Center at Satellite Church.

While giving the Strategic committee report, Kisia highlighted that this coming harambee will be the last for this year and if we manage to hit the target, then we will be at a position of moving faster towards the foundation.

It is therefore a challenge to all of us to up ourseves and pray that God will see us through even as we plan for this Day. Whatever God will have given you and purposed, dont hesitate, just bring it and God himself will surely reward your effort. We look forward to seeing you in person, and also your contribution towards the cnstruction of this great Church of God.

May God's mercy fall upon you as you prepare well to participate in this fundraiser in fullness. Shalom!
